Small and family-friendly resort a short walk from the beach
Consisting of only 14 rooms, 12 of which are suites, the Strand Resort Boracay is a boutique hotel only 3 minutes from a quiet part of the Boat Station 1 beach. The two Standard Rooms here are quite nice, but the 9 One-Bedroom Suites are very large and perfect for families. In fact, some who book the cheaper rooms seem to get upgraded to the suites, which is a good indicator about how the staff aim to please.
It’s a lovely 4.5-star property with two salt-water (environmentally friendly) swimming pools set in a lush garden. The beach and other local options are close enough to the resort, but really this one is best suited to those looking for quiet rather than adventure and exploration. Guest reviews here are very strong and it seems to get booked up before many others nearby.
